Day 3

You’ve made your list which should now only list things that you enjoy making.

Now it’s time to choose your niche.

Your niche is what you will be known for. What will your customers know you for.

What is a niche?

A niche is a collection of related items. So it could be items that you would find in a nursery, bags, hats or even anything and everything pink. But you need your business to stick in peoples mind, and that can only happen if they know what your brand is about, what your niche is.

So take a look at your list. What is on there that you can link together? What is on there that you can make different varieties of?

I’ve seen crochet businesses built on selling hat and scarf sets, selling animal ear hats, based around rugs for nurseries, or making flowers in pots. You can build your business around anything.

What niche are you going to choose?

It’s only after you’ve chosen your niche that we begin to think about your business name and your branding
